Group Tuition for Year 9

The Year 9 curriculum is demanding and varied in order to offer a wide range of academic opportunities to students who will choose their GCSE and IGCSE subjects during the Lent term. Our staff will begin to use more of the methodologies associated with GCSE in this year in order to prepare students for what lies ahead.

Year 9 Maths

We start GCSE Maths work in year 9.  The express sets could take Mathematics GCSE in May of Year 10 and the Level 2 Certificate in Further Mathematics in the June of Year 11. This enable capable student to take additional subjects for GCSE.

Due to the requirement from some schools, we provide support GCSE Statistics in year 9. The course followed is EDEXCEL. Students sit the examination in June and they also have to complete an assessed task which contributes to their final grade.
